How to make a successful and attractive blog

In past two years i have learn many things about blogging. In blogging there are many things which is very important to build a successful blog so after the long way to blogging now i think i can give you some of the tips. So here are the five things which can help you to make your blog more attractive and successful. And if you think you can give some of your important suggestions please feel free to comment.

1. Select Perfect Platform.
For starting a blog first select perfect place where your blog get the best page previews. In my knowledge there are only best of the platform which can help you to get a perfect start to your blog are Blogger and WordPress. I chose these two because these are very easy to use and they provide you and your blog the best page preview. There are also some of the other sites which also offer you to make a site but you only use there domain and they cannot give you the best results.

2. Select the topic.
If you have decided the topic on which you want to create your blog then it is good and if not then first think the topic and then think the + and - of the topic and how popular it will become. If you can't decide then make it a multipurpose blog like choose your topic and add some trending topic then you will easily be a founder and creator of a wonderful and successful blog.

3. Choose best template.
Every human being mind on earth is very easily get attracted toward colors. If you make a attractive and impressive blog, then it will increase the numbers of readers in your readers list. There are many awesome templates present on internet but we have to avoid them because the paid templates worth it and there loading time is also decrease.

4. Write a impressive post.
On the first day and for the first post you have to show the best writing skills you have. For writing a professional post read the professional blog and analyse the how fine they write. In posts you have to add some attractive things like images videos and social icons.

5. Promote your blog.
The blogger are everywhere if you check you Facebook account i am sure you can easily find one in you friends list. For promote your blog on social media because today social media can give you the best and awesome readers result. Mistakes To Avoid While Promoting your blog

To tell the truth, there are various mistakes, which a blogger can make. However, not all of these mistakes are related to the content or the management of your blog. In fact, just like any other venture, you need some good game in order to promote your blog, which attracts traffic.
Of course, the whole matter is quite relative. If you are just a blogger who wants to kill some time for yourself, then you might just ignore every piece that has ever been written down for the benefit of bloggers. Nevertheless, if you want people to visit your blog and maintain a steady flow, you will have to put in more effort that just being whimsical.
In case you are thinking of getting some cash out of it in the bargain, you have to be smart and poke unless you get a good traffic. More importantly, getting the desired traffic will add value to your endeavor.

Things to avoid

The first thing you should remember is to be regular with your posts. Look, your readers read your posts because they like them. There are hundreds of bloggers who will uncannily cover the same subject of your choice.
Not posting regularly will just keep your fans stranded and we all know that is not wise. Be it monthly, daily or weekly, just make sure that you follow a pattern and watch how you always end up having a healthy traffic in your blog.
The second point of stupidity would be to be too pushy with your views. You see, the point is simple. None of us likes people who are self-centered pieces of crap. Of course, you are writing your blog because you want to express your thoughts and concerns. However, coming on too strongly on your readers will just piss them off and not generate traffic.
Another point which will hinder your progress will of course be not including your readers into you blog. See blogger, just turn the tables on to yourself and you will know the feeling. Your readers like your posts, even if they hate your posts, you can count on numerous discussions about it. Not interacting with them will be a big mistake; either way you look at it.
However, some of your readers may be nice enough to take the pains to write some post, which adds value to your content. The guest post may also be something totally negative. Nevertheless, just make sure that you publish them anyway. This participatory-based communication will certainly give way to more word of mouth and thus end up increasing your traffic.

The act of modesty

Presenting your content in the wrong manner will inevitably convert to your blog hitting the bottom. Look, unless people know your blog exists, nobody will take the pains to seek them out and then read them. So be wise and make sure to arrange for killer posts.
The best way to do the same is to make sure that you have enough keywords, which will be visible in the search engines. Trust me fellas, nothing works like Search Engine Optimization does. It is similar to exams. You write an answer and are marked according to what kind of relevant words and phrases you have packed in, which will please your teacher. So, go ahead and make your content and blog SEO rich for attracting traffic.
Another mistake that bloggers keep making is promoting their blog to the wrong public. Target readers who are interested in your posts and yes, who would like to add value to it as well. Your blogs are mostly read by people who have some manner of problem or interest. Unless you prepare content according to your audience, no traffic can be generated.
Moreover, be prepared to accept your mistakes, if you make any that is. Your act of modestly accepting your faults will take you and your blog a long way into being successful with your readers.

Mistakes at a glance

To summarize the whole thing, it is really not that hard if you are serious about your blog. Just take a look.
  • Be regular with your posts.
  • Avoid being pushy with your readers.
  • Include guests posts into your blog.
  • Make your blog’s content SEO rich.
  • Promote your blog to the right people (targeted promotion).
Once you address these, be ready to fly high. Happy blogging!

How To Avoid Google SEO Penalties

Google has set out a lot of guidelines to help people make their websites more search engine friendly. Making your website more search engine friendly is known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). However, some people try to manipulate the search engine in order to have their website ranked higher on the search engine. Google cannot stop people from doing this, but what they can do is punish websites that try to employ such tactics.
With this in mind, the people behind Google set up a bunch of rules. These rules revolve around the things you should not do when optimizing your website. If you try to manipulate the search engine then this is known as Black-Hat SEO. Here are some Black-Hat SEO techniques that you should avoid if you do not want to be punished by Google.

Duplicating the content of other websites

This involves plagiarizing the work of another website. If you take all (or part) of the content of another web page and place it on your web page, then that web page may be punished by Google. Google wants you to upload content that it unique/original. If you plagiarize the work of other people then you are breaking the law, and Google will start punishing websites.
However, contrary to popular belief, it may not be the plagiarizers’ website that is punished. Sometimes the website that uploaded the content first is punished for being the duplicator. Few people understand what criteria Google uses when it punishes websites that duplicate content, but what is known for sure, is that if two web pages have the same content, then one of them is going to suffer.

Spamming links onto comment sections

This can be done manually or with a spam bot. Most of the links will be blocked by the webmaster or blog master, and others will be deleted after the fact. However, some of them are going to remain on comment sections and will act as backlinks for your website. However, as soon as Google realizes what you are doing, it will start to punish your website for it.

Hiding pages on your website

This is done by installing JavaScript links, and can be done in order to hide Black-Hat activity from the search engine; such as a page that asks people to link to the website, or that offers payment for links to the website. Hiding a web page is known as cloaking a website page and will result in you being punished by Google.

Spamming keywords onto your website

This involves putting keywords into the content of your page for no reason other than to optimize for the search engine. You could do this by putting nothing but keywords in the ALT text of your images, or by listing keywords on your content, or creating anchor text for links that is just made up of keywords.

Cloaking keywords on a web page

This is the act of hiding lists of keywords on your website by making the text the same color as the background of the web page. That way the reader cannot see the keywords but the search engine crawler can.

Buying links from link farms

Link farms do not really exist anymore, but the idea is to buy links from a company. This is bad because Google want links to your website to be organic and not purchased. Therefore, Google will punish your website if it finds out that you have bought links from a company or a link farm. Google cannot stop people from selling links, but it can punish the websites that buy from them.

6 Brilliant Tips To Make You Blog like A Pro Blogger

Do you also want to blog like a well-known blogger? When we start blogging, most of us are amateur blogger. When I started blogging, I have no idea what I was building, I was blogging because it was fun and it was something I was enjoying. I’m sure that you are also one of those budding bloggers, who is trying your luck in the field of blogging to earn money or to make a name or just out of your passion. For what ever reason you are blogging, what important is how well you are doing. If you are spending 2 hours a day on your blog and results are not up to the mark, it’s time for you to re-think your strategy. If you are not motivated, you should read this blogger motivation guide, that will surely make you feel refresh and will help you to get your blogging mojo back.
What important in blogging is, keep learning something new; implement it and share it with others who are new to it. This article is motivation and practical tips for you to leave your amateur seat and blog like a pro-blogger. So without wasting anytime let’s see what you can do to make you blog like a professional blogger.

Why you should blog like a professional blogger?

One of the thing that you should always keep in mind while doing anything is to make most out of it. If you are just one of millions of mediocre blogger, it’s time for you to take action and move one or multiple steps ahead. Here I’m sharing tips that I learned in the tenure of 5 years of blogging and if you follow them, in next 30 days you will become a better blogger than what you are today
Nothing is worse then taking an advice from a non-confident person, when you are blogging; sharing anything without being confident, you are surely losing more credibility than making. Always remember, “You can build the credibility by not losing it“. Think of the factor that make you trust a person, and when it comes to blogging it’s much easier because it’s not because of your physical presence, it’s your words that matters the most. Now, question is how you can become a confident blogger and how you can create an impression of the same.
  1. Your posts and writing style:  Your writing is what makes all the difference. There is one tip that I always follow, and I imagine that you are sitting on an empty chair in-front of me, and I’m talking to you. If your blogging is more in a conversation way, you are more likely to leave a foot-print. Do notice the time I use “you” in this article, because this article is for you and you only. It’s just one person and that is “you” who is reading this article. Another thing to improve in your writing is using “I” instead of “we”, as people who are not so confident they use “We” to avoid taking responsibility for their work. If it’s one man show blog, why do you need to use “We” ? Open these articles in new tab: 10 tips to improve your writing skills and 11 effective tips to boost article writing skills.
  2. Your blog design: I’m sure you must have been to a restaurant and been a situation, when waiter impression is created by what he is wearing. I’m more likely to tip a waiter who is in uniform than the one who is not. When you are working online, it’s your design which is the suit and you are the waiter. If your blog design sucks and doesn’t leave a good impression, you are not likely to get a tip i.e: convert one-time visitor into subscriber. So get rid of all jumble-bumble from your blog, and have a neat and professional looking design which reflects you and your blog personality.  Do remember, your blog design is the first point of content and first impression last forever.
  3. Come out of the closet: How many popular blogger you know of? Check out this awesome inforgraphic of Professional bloggers and ask how many of them you know of  ? If you know even 2 or 3 of them, ask why and how do you know them? It’s because they didn’t hide in closet like you. All these successful bloggers put a face along with their name, and you can see that on their blog.Is int it easier to connect to a person rather than a brand? It’s high time for you to make some pro-active changes on your blog, and show who is the person behind that awesome blog, and mr. that’s  you. Add an author box, add few details about you in your blog about page, add your profile in the blog sidebar. Make sure that you add a good-looking picture of yours and add a seductive bio. If not seductive, write a description about yourself in a way that people can relate and connect.
  4. Be honest and don’t doubt yourself: “Honesty is the best policy‘ and this is what we have been learned in our kindle garden, but with time we have experienced and we know that it’s hard to live by that rule. How many times in a day you lie about little things? When I calculated this about me, I realised that I lie for small-small things, which are not even intentional. We don’t lie because we want other’s to be happy and we don’t want them tone hurt. This is one of the biggest crime we commit to ourself. When we lie to please people, somewhere we are not listening to our inner-self, and soon we turn into people pleaser. Take this as a challenge, and for next 7 days try to be complete honest. Be honest with your offline and online life, and tell me how this changed your life. I started this as an experiment and within 7 days I started feeling the difference. Now, it’s been a month and apart from 2-3 instance when I lied, my life is not only changed but improved a lot. Not lying taught me how to say “No” and my confidence level is going up ever since. Once you do this, it will have positive impact in your writing and on your online presence. Do read, how being complete honest for 7 days changed my life.
It doesn’t matter how good your opinion is, until you are not establishing yourself as an authority or your blog as an authoritative blog, no body is going to believe you. Now the question is how can you become an authoritative blogger? Funny thing here is, you already know the answer and it’s very easy. If you have already made changes suggested in above point (Confidence), you are more likely to become an authoritative blogger.
Now, it’s time to leverage the power of social-media and establish yourself as an authoritative person in your niche. Let’s start with fixing your social-media presence, and start by updating your social-media profile details. Ensure that your social-media profile is like your resume and reflects your personality. Use same profile image everywhere (Twitter, Fb, G+, Gravatar, etc…) to stand out and make it easier for people to recall you.
Always share your opinion about the burning topics in your niche or hot topics around the globe. Yes, your opinion might not be as good as an industry expert, but it will still be better than many of the people who are following you. If you star doubting yourself at any moment, check out this amazing video on “If you think your idea is stupid, you are an idiot“!
One of the most common attribute of a successful person is, they give credits to people for their work. Where as a shallow person will either never talk about others work & never share it with others. If you are still one of those who are not so vocal and doesn’t give credits to people for their work, you are standing on the other side of the fence. Like I said above come out of the closet, and share your liking with others. Don’t thrive for likes or comment, rather share or give credit to anyone you think they deserve.
You must have heard a lot about “Networking is the key to success” and it’s important to build a strong network of people around you. Guess what, this is one of the most-important thing to do in every aspect of your life ( Online or offline). What make a difference is becoming a part of someone inner-circle. Many of you might be reading a lot about successful people and have them on your social-media profile, but you are not a part of their inner-circle. You are just one of those thousand people they are be-friended on Facebook or met in one of those blogging events. Your goal is to become a part of their inner-circle and become a companion where they want you to be around. This will happen when you lose that “Im a blogger” attitude and work on building a meaningful connection.
No matter in what niche you are doing business, it’s smart work which will take you to the places. Yes, working hard is important but working smart is more important than working hard. If you spending every day 2 hours for writing blog posts and not working on promoting it, you will be the same person even after an year or two. Yes, your blog would grow and you will get more traffic and make more money, but you are still slower than rest of the crowd.
There are people who just started online and making million of dollars because of their smart-work & ideas. Let me not confuse you between idea and smart work, as both are closely related. Without a good idea, no work will give you a better result. When it comes to working smart, all I could suggest is pick the right set of blogging tools, understand the value of time and work on time-management to become more productive. Maintain a perfect balance between your social and personal life, because if you want to succeed, you have to be a happy person and that will happen when you are satisfied with your life in 360* (In all the aspect of life).
If you are a regular reader of BloggerGamer, I’m sure you have heard me  saying “Time is money“, and I will keep repeating it till the time you mail me and tell me “Yes BG, I believe that time is money!”. You might be having 30-40 great ideas, but alone it will take a lot of time to execute them. When you have a team of people working, you are more likely to get all the ideas turning into reality. Here is a practical example:  I had this idea of creating an infographic for Indian bloggers, and couldn’t do it because collecting data was a time-consuming process. Sharat joined my team 3 months back, and he is the guy who gets all the credit for making this infographic live.  And not to miss designer Abha Jain who designed it. Because of a helping hand I’m keeping all of my other blogs active and finding more time for myself. The thing is, you have to upgrade your role from a blogger to infopreneur and then a solopreneur. This will only happen when you have a team, and you start delegating work to others.
If you are someone who live in a remote place (Yah internet is everywhere), all you need to do is create a virtual team of your own. You should check out these two articles from Srikanth, where he shared everything you need to know about virtual assistance.
  • How virtual assistant works : FAQ and everything you need to know
  • 5 places where people find Virtual assistant jobs  (Use these places to hire one for yourself)
Take away here is, leave the conventional way of working and work like an internetpreneur. When you are working online, you are Mr. limitless and you can achieve everything.
I have shared all the important points which will help you to grow bigger and achieve more than what you getting right now. If you have read this article word by word, make sure you pick those points which you believe will improve your blogging career and make you blog like other pro-bloggers.
Do let me know which of these tips you will be working on, and how you planning to start? If you need help with any of these points, feel free to ask me via comment. If you find this article useful, do consider sharing it on Facebook and Google plus for others.

How To Decide Name of Your New Blog?

decide Blog name How To Decide Name of Your New Blog?

Naming anything is one of the biggest task, because once you name anything, that becomes the future of that person/thing.  When ever I have to start a new blog or a website, my first few days goes in deciding the name of the blog. Since, BloggerGamer is a brand name for me, I usually add a suffix along with Blogger to create a blog name. But, usually for a newbie person, who is starting his first blog, deciding a name comes out to be very tough, as there are many confusions, such as:
  • Should I use my name as my blog name?
  • Should I use common words like Tech, Fashion, movies in my blog name?
  • I’m not sure about niche of my blog, and will this name look good in long run?
These are just few of many confusions which we usually have while deciding on the name of the blog. Here I will out line some of the simplest way which can help you to pick a name for your blog. Do remember, by the end, every name is good; what really matter is what quality you put in there, and how you brand it.
Pen and Paper or Google Docs:
Pick a pen and paper, and start writing the names which are coming in your mind. Don’t use your personal name as blog name, until it’s your personal journal blog. Because, if you use your name as a name of your blog, it loses the chance of creating a niche authority blog, and it becomes more of a personal branding blog. For example, the other day I along with a team-mate was brainstorming a domain name for my new blog which is about WordPress niche, and here are few names that we put down on paper:
  • BloggerGamerWPHelp
  • GamerWP
  • BloggerWpNinjas
  • GamerWPHub
  • BloggerWPDaily
  • GamerWPCode
  • BloggerWPCoder
  • GamerWPHacker
Now, after writing down these names, we started removing names one by one, and the process was quite easy, after we answered these questions:
  • What is the goal of this blog?
  • What kind of audience I’m targeting?
  • Is name justifying the kind of content I’m going to put there?
  • Is this name Good for long run?
  • Is the name unique or my name is close to any existing brand?
It took another 10 minutes to start removing names, and by the end we come down to following domains:
  • GamerWPHub
  • BloggerGamerWPDaily
Now, both the name actually suits the kind of blog we were thinking, as it was suppose to be about WordPress tips, news and regular stuff. Similarly, this is the first thing you should do when deciding a blog name.
Don’t use trademark name:
A major mistakes we unknowingly do is by picking up a Trademark name. For example, having a domain name with words like WordPress, Google, AdSense, Apple and so on. Using somebody trademark name can create legal issues, and if you wish to read more about it, you should check out this official wiki page on Trademark.
Check for Brand name availability on Social-media sites:
Another important thing to keep in mind when deciding for a blog name is; availability of name on Social-media sites. For example, if you have decided a blog name as BGHub, that name should also be available on at least Twitter and Facebook. If not, you should go for an alternate name or start with step 1. You can use a username check website like Knowem to search for name availability on various Social networking sites.
Keyword Rich or Keyword less:
Another important aspect of selecting a blog name is; should we use Keyword or should we not use Keyword. I’m not going in depth on this here.Few more tips to keep in mind:
  • Don’t try to choose a long blog name.
  • Make sure name of the blog is memorable and not hard to type.
  • Ensure that blog name is easy to pronounce, and should not be confusing.
  • Prefer .com domain name.
  • Don’t use .net, .info or other not so famous TLD’s

Just follow these tips and let me know if this helped you or not. Once you have decided on the name of your new blog, book your domain from Godaddy or any other popular domain registrar. If you have any additional question or tip you would like to add, do let me know via comment. If you find this article useful, do consider sharing it on Facebook and Google plus.
